AWC gets a boost from class of '19

The Awareness Washington County class of 2018 presented the organization with a check for scholarships to be used for future participants.
The presentation was made in June at the Annual Meeting and Graduation of the 2019 class.
Each AWC class creates and carries out a servant leadership project to benefit the community in some way. The 2018 class has held several fundraisers to provide scholarships to community members who would like to join the current AWC class. Several scholarships were awarded in 2019, and their recent contribution will allow even more individuals to develop their leadership skills through AWC training.
Co-directors Cheryl Lee and Marji Morris are currently accepting applications for the 2020 AWC class. Anyone who lives in Washington County or works in the county is eligible to join. The leadership class begins with a two-day overnight retreat in September and meets one day a month through May.
