Choices Executive Directors Donna Wesner (Salem) and Rose Condra (New Albany) accept a $10,000 check from Jack Mahuron, representing the Hoosier Uplands Board of Directors. Other HU and Choices board members are pictured as well.

On Friday, members of the Hoosier Uplands Board of Directors presented a check for $10,000 to members of Choices Life Resource Center in Salem. Choices was formerly known as CARE Pregnancy Help Center. The money was from a Hoosier Uplands grant program which aims to support local community programs.

The funds will be used to purchase furniture for Choices' new location, which will be on Jim Day Road, on the east side of Salem. Choices will be located in space formerly occupied by DaVita Dialysis. Currently, the program operates out of a cramped house on West Market Street. The new space is nearly four times as large and will allow for expanded programming, greater visibility and more services for clients.

Renovations are expected to be completed within 90 days. Choices will continue to serve clients in its current location until the move.
