Community Action of Southern Indiana will host “Empowering the Body, Mind, and Soul,” a brunch and learning session, on Tuesday, November 12, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon.
The brunch will bring together health, community, and faith leaders to discuss critical health issues impacting the African American Community. Practical resources, health screenings, and wellness tips will be provided.
Topics to be covered include heart health, diabetes prevention, mental health, and financial resources.
“It is our goal to foster a space where we lift up each other while learning about ways to live healthier lives,” says Pamela Clark, CASI’s Minority Health Initiative Director. “There will be speakers who are passionate about addressing health disparities in our community and everybody’s attendance and participation will make this event meaningful.”
The “Empowering the Body, Mind, and Soul” Health and Wellness brunch will be held at 201 East 15th Street in Jeffersonville in CASI’s Family Living Area.
