Salvation Army Bell Ringers needed

Salvation Army Bell Ringing for Washington County will start on Friday, Nov. 23, at Ace Hardware and Walmart. 

Bell Ringing will be on Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 15. Then ringing will be Dec. 17-22 and Dec. 24. Hours for ringing will be 10-6 p.m. Arrangements can be made for other hours for those who want to help around their work schedule.

The money raised in Washington County stays in Washington County. If you donate in Scottsburg or Clarksville, that money goes to Scott County and Clark County. Please donate in Washington County. This is a chance to help the less fortunate of Washington County with energy assistance through the Salvation Army collections.

Sometimes bell ringing can be a challenge. Dress warm, take hand warmers, foot warmers, hot chocolate, ear muffs, gloves, umbrellas, etc. to stay protected from the weather. Walmart bell ringing takes place outside. Ace Hardware can be inside or outside.

If you are the first to ring at 10 a.m. you need to go to the service desk to get the kettle and bell and take them outside. If you are the last each day, you will need to put the kettle and bell back inside at the service desk.
