Salem contestants to perform at Mitchell Opera House

Who loves America’s Got Talent? Now’s your chance to see some amazing, local talent compete at the Mitchell Opera House.

 The 4th Live Talent Showcase will be on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m.

The event will feature local contestants who will compete for the chance to advance to the final round in December, where they will have a chance to win the grand prize of $1,000. 

Among the nine contestants for this show is Jimmy Gibson, Salem, who will be will be singing. 

Gibson was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved with his family from Granville, Ohio to Salem a year ago. He has been in school choirs since he was in seventh grade and has performed in Ohio and Indiana state school solo competitions. He is also a member of the football, wrestling and track and field teams at Salem High School.

Also from Salem is Natasha LeAnn, she will be singing. A singer/songwriter, she has been singing since she could talk and has always had the dream of being famous. LeAnn says that she will never give up on pursuing her dream even when it seems far out of reach.  

Other contestants include: Lucas Kemp-Cook, Bloomington; Brittney Clark, Orleans; Angel Gabbard, Bloomington; Parker Zoller, Bedford; Audie Phillips, Bedford; Mia Collins, Bloomington; Ashlyn Hanner; and Chloe Wilcox, Mitchell.

Tickets to the event are $10 and can be purchased in advance by visiting www.mitchelloperahouse.com or in person at ACE/Ben Franklin in Mitchell.
