Live talent showcase

Who loves America’s Got Talent?! Why not see some amazing local talent compete at the Mitchell Opera House!? Join the Mitchell Opera House for the 3rd Live Talent Showcase on August 17th at 7:00 p.m.! The event will feature 9 local contestants who will compete for the chance to advance to the final round that will be held in December, where they will have a chance to win the grand prize of $1,000!

The nine contestants for the third show include:

  • Greg McClain from Mitchell will be singing and playing the guitar. Greg likes to write his own songs. He has played the guitar and sang at church over the years and thought this talent show would be a fun opportunity!
  • Aidan Martin from Bloomington will be playing the saxophone. He is a 15 year old freshman at Bloomington South High School and is involved in the jazz and marching band at his school. He has been playing the alto sax for three years now and started in Middle School band.
  • Brittney Clark, mother of six, from Orleans will be singing. Her whole life has revolved around music. She was three years old when she discovered that she could sing and ever since then, she has sung any chance she gets and also loves to write her own music.
  • Adam Crabtree from Paoli will be singing and playing the guitar. Adam has been singing and playing since he was 12 years old. He started playing publically while stationed in Germany with the United States Army. He loves to write his own songs and one day hopes to get a publishing deal.
  • Gustyn Write from Taswell will be playing the banjo. Gustyn is 15 years old and has been playing the banjo for a little over a year and a half now and absolutely loves it!
  • Logan McKeighan from Orleans will be singing and playing the guitar. Logan first learned to play the guitar when he was 14, from one of the best bluegrass musicians around Orange County. He has bounced around with a few different bands over the years. He has always gravitated more towards the outlaw country genre but has always been a big fan of music in general.
  • Lorenzo Harford from Bloomington will be singing. He has been singing since he was 5 years old and was inspired by his mother, Mrs.Lori Chesnut. He has been working with his music teacher to develop his voice and is now ready to venture outside of his school walls to do what he was born to do, to sing!
  • Jordan River Crossing from Bloomington is an a capella male quartet specializing in barbership, gospel, doo-op and jazz. The members of the group include:. They have been singing together since August of 2013 and are thrilled to perform at the Mitchell Opera House!
  • Sarah Cassidy from Bloomington will be singing and playing guitar. Sarah is a 17 year old singer-songwriter living and creating in Bloomington, Indiana. With a warm acoustic sound, storytelling lyricism, and elements of pop, folk, and rock, Sarah invites audiences from all walks of life to share the power of music—the power to heal, connect, and grow. Sarah will be double majoring in Arts Management and Theater & Drama at Indiana University.
