German American Bank makes donation to EW

During the East Washington School Board meeting on Dec. 17, German American Bank Market President Adrian Brown  and Head of Retail Ray Lucas presented East Washington School Corporation with a $7,500 donation to the school’s arts programs. The school recently switched their banking over to German American. Also pictured above are Superintendent Dennis Stockdale and Board President Tom Coats.

Stockdale said the corporation is very pleased with the partnership with German American and the willingness to be a benefit beyond just banking. The bank wanted to offer a boost that would benefit multiple programs in the school, especially with the arts program. Stockdale said the $7,500 donation would be made out to the central office, and the central office would disperse the funds to the various arts programs at the school.

“On behalf of German American Bank, we really appreciate the relationship we have with East Washington,” said Brown. “It’s pretty evident, just by sitting here for a few minutes, you have a lot of special things going on ... Your whole team here at the central office are very professional and very knowledgeable with what they’re doing and they’ve been great to work with.”

“We are very excited to support the arts, the athletics, all the other things — STEM and STEAM and all the things that have been pointed out to me,” said Lucas. “We hope this helps support a variety of the special things you have going on here. We’re very excited to partner with you.”
