Farmer's Market to open Saturday in new location

–Tara Kritzer, President/Market Master Washington County Farmer’s Market

The Washington County Farmer’s Market’s opening day is this Saturday, May 19, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at our NEW location in the Justice Center parking lot at 801 S. Jackson St. in Salem. We’re really excited to offer our loyal patrons, as well as new visitors, a bigger and better market this year! The Justice Center parking lot provides a gravel-free, mud puddle-free, smooth surface to walk on while you stroll and shop the various vendors.

We’ll have many of your old favorites as well as some welcomed new vendors and I’m expecting to add even more as the season progresses. As always, the Washington County Farmer’s Market offers the freshest homegrown fruits and vegetables around, as well as locally raised frozen beef, hand-mixed spices and rubs, homemade baked goods including many kinds of bread, cookies, quick breads, muffins and much more! We’re incredibly pleased to now offer you local eggs as well as handmade goat’s milk soap, candles, starter plants, microgreens and more! You’ll just have to come out to see all that the Farmer’s Market has to offer this year! The Washington County Farmers Market accepts cash and WIC.

For more information about the Farmers Market, check us out on Facebook or call 812-883-4601. The Washington County Farmers Market is sponsored by Blueriver Networking Services, Inc. and American Senior Communities. We hope to see you there!
