Donation drive

Area organizations unite in donation drive

The Washington County Board of Realtors® recognizes the important services Hoosier Hills PACT have provided to members of our community since 1981.  Therefore, they are starting a supply drive during the month of October to collect everyday items used to aid members of the community who utilize the services provided by Hoosier Hills PACT. 

They are seeking community donations of the following items: journals, pocket calendars, gas cards, food cards, paper towels, garbage bags, laundry detergent, laundry baskets, fabric softener sheets, plastic storage containers-any size, and cleaning supplies.

Also, flashlights, batteries, reading glasses, hair brushes, combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, facial tissues, lotion, deodorant, shampoo, hair spray, school supplies, backpacks, washable markers, new pillows, hand sanitizer, dish towels, twin size sheets, rugs, bath towels, wash cloths, pots & pans, cookie sheets, kitchen utensils, can openers, and dish detergent.

Also, socks, girls & boys underwear (all sizes), baby wipes, diapers, toddler pull ups, car seats, strollers, games, and toys. 

Donations can be dropped off between now and Oct. 30 at Mainstreet Realtors®, 304 N. Main St, The Day Company Realtors®, 1000 W. Mulberry St, or at the Washington County Board of Realtors® office located at 407 N. Main St.

Hoosier Hills PACT is a not-for-profit criminal justice agency. It provides programs that address the needs of victims, offenders and the community in rural southern Indiana. Their programs include the Domestic Violence Shelter, transitional housing, 24-hour crisis line, court advocacy, community education and outreach, case management, support group, men’s nonviolence program and protective order assistance.
