Is it time for a new champion?

Beck’s Mill volunteers invite the public to enter the cornmeal bake-off contest and try to take the crown from two-year reigning champion, Janie Martin.

The event is held during Oktoberfest, Saturday, Oct. 26. Those wishing to enter should drop off their dish in the mill’s parking lot from 11 to 11:45 a.m. The dish must contain at least 1/2 cup of Beck’s Mill yellow or white cornmeal. The dish or plate must be non-returnable and include the recipe. 

Judging will be at noon and in addition to bragging rigts, a prize will be awarded to the winner.
