What's one more dog?

“Let’s get another dog!” they said. “It will be fun!” they said.

So, of course, what did we do? We got another dog!

Jon and the girls wanted a bigger dog. We have Molly, our Welsh Terrier, which is great with me. But they wanted a bigger dog, an Airedale.

Well, we had been there and done that and I didn’t want another puppy.

I offhandedly said, “If I could get one that was past the puppy stage, I’d do it.”

So, lucky for us my sister-in-law had a two year old Airedale she needed to re-home and guess where she went? Home with us!

Her name is Lilly and she is as sweet as can be. And yes, it is nice because she doesn’t chew on things, she goes to the bathroom outside and she is a quiet, sweet soul.

However, she has never lived with kids and getting used to the girls is taking some time. Our house is anything but quiet!

At first, Lilly constantly ran from us, but the girls have trained her now to play fetch, to go outside on her leash and take walks and boy does she love to eat!

I try not to let the dirty paw marks on the ottoman, the messy nose marks on the picture window and front door and the smashed wildflowers in the garden stress me out...I mean they are making memories, right?!

We have a busy house full of dogs, kids and love and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
