Monday is deadline to register to vote

Early voting starts Tuesday

A record turnout is expected for the 2020 general election, but the deadline to take part in it is Monday, Oct. 5.

Once registration is closed, early voting will begin in the Washington County Clerk’s office located at the justice center.

Those wishing to wait until election day will vote at one of the following approved polling locations.

Please note that some polling locations have merged to help with the effects of the pandemic.

Salem 1-4: Salem Armory, 1100 N Shelby Street, Salem

Washington 1-4: Washington County Fairgrounds, 118 N. Fair Street, Salem

Brown and Vernon: Community Building, 125 S. Syca- more Street, Campbellsburg

Franklin: Franklin Twp. Firehouse, 7047 E. SR 160, Salem

Gibson: Gibson Twp. Firehouse, 571 N. State road 39, Little york

Howard: Howard Twp. Firehouse, 5279 S. Becks mill road, Salem

Jackson: Jackson Twp. Firehouse, 4330 E. martins- burg Fire road, Pekin

Jefferson and monroe: monroe Twp. Firehouse, 8496 N. State Road 135, Vallonia

Madison: Madison Twp. Firehouse 130, Church Street, Campbellsburg

Pierce and Polk: Pekin Park Community Bldg, 340 S. Park Street, Pekin

Posey: Fellowship Baptist Mission Center (formerly Bearcat Civic Center) 9271 W. US Hwy 150, Hardinsburg

All voting locations will adhere to all CDCc guidelines for COVID-19. Stephanie Rockey, County Election Administer said, “Our voters, pandemic patience is greatly appreciated.”
