WW FFA Annual Breakfast

Throwback Thursday…Zoe Wallace works at the 2016 West Washington FFA breakfast. This will be Zoe’s last breakfast to work as she is a senior this year.

Have you ever thought how nice it would be to hire someone for four to eight hours to help with spring chores? Well, now is your chance. As part of the 10th annual West Washington FFA community breakfast, a “worker auction” will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 16. Purchase an FFA member to help get those “to-do” tasks done.

The profits from the event will be put towards the James L. Brown Endowment fund at the Washington County Community Foundation. This event supports student members with scholarships and funding of various contests, events and educational opportunities they take part in.

The event begins at 6 a.m. with a free plate of breakfast including eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, fruit and drinks. Additional fundraising includes a silent and live auction in addition to the worker auction.

The silent auction will have baskets donated by agriculture students and many local businesses. The live auction features projects, such as tables, benches and games, built by agriculture students.

Door prizes will also be available during the event held from 6 to 9 a.m. at the West Washington High School cafeteria.

For information, contact the West Washington Agriculture Department at 812-755-4890 or bergdallb@wwcs.k12.in.us.
