SCS board votes to move forward on SMS pool project

After months of discussion, the Salem Community Schools board voted unanimously to move forward with the pool renovations at Salem Middle School. 

The overall cost of the project has gone from $13.6 million to the current amount being discussed sitting at $3.13 million, with all costs included. The "brick and mortar" cost of the pool renovations come to around $2.4 million.

As of now, the board has dropped discussion on security upgrades at Salem Middle School.
