NIE Section coming soon
Students in Miss Callaway's fourth-grade class at West Washington Elementary take time to read the papers, which are often used by the teachers to suppliment textbook usage in all subjects, English to Math.
Approximately 300 students in Washington County receive The Salem Leader and The Salem Democrat in their classrooms.
A week in March is celebrated as Newspaper in Education and Leader Publishing Company will be doing the annual NIE section which highlights writings and artistry of our local students.
Be sure and watch for it in the March 7 edition of The Salem Democrat.
