Regional Opportunity Initiatives, Inc. (ROI) has launched the next round of Digital Towns grant funding, aimed at supporting programs that improve digital literacy and technology usage across the Indiana Uplands.
Grant amounts range from $5,000 to $50,000, with up to $75,000 available for projects that encompass a regional scope.
Help us spread the word to eligible organizations, including libraries, nonprofits, schools, main streets organizations, and others. Applications are due by September 13,
Funds such as the Holly Humphrey Scholarship Fund are supported by charitable donations from people in and outside of the community, and the Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) is currently promoting a 3:1 monthly donation match for the various funds they support. Every dollar donated by monthly donors is tripled by the WCCF, and every dollar donated by non-monthly donors will be matched by $2 from the WCCF. There are many ways to donate, such as:

Public comment is open to the Indiana Natural Resources Commission (NRC) regarding proposed changes to the state’s river otter trapping and deer hunting rules. Depending on the range you visit, you can practice archery, rifle, shotgun, handgun, trap, and skeet.

Basic range rules for all Division of Fish & Wildlife operated ranges:
This is not a comprehensive list of rules; please read and obey all rules posted at the range you visit.
• Eye and ear protection are required on all firearm ranges.
• All range users and visitors must wear a shirt and shoes (closed-toed shoes and a full T-shirt are suggested).
• Shoot only at paper targets placed on the provided target holders; clay targets are allowed on the shotgun range.
• Automatic fire and rapid fire (more than one shot per second) are prohibited.
• .50 caliber BMG or any firearm capable of delivering more than 9,000 ft/lbf (foot pounds of force) are prohibited.
• Holstered firearms are not allowed anywhere on the shooting range, except by on-duty uniformed law enforcement officers.
• Eating, drinking, and smoking are allowed only in the parking area.
• Range users must be at least eighteen years old or accompanied by someone who is at least 18 years old.
