March Against Addiction

Washington County Family YMCA…. March Against Addiction, Saturday May 18^th. Join fellow warriors with the Y and Indiana National Guard in a march to stand up against addiction and the opioid epidemic in our community. The Indiana National Guard will provide the first 45 people who register, and opt to, will have the opportunity to march with a 35-pound rucksack. There will be awards given to the fastest rucker male/female and fastest runner male/female. Inspirational recovery stories of our peers will be shared while awareness is built around the addiction issues in our community. Registration at 8am, 5K race begins at 9am. Awards and pizza will follow at 10:30am. The race begins and ends at the YMCA at 1709 N. Shelby St. in Salem. The only cost is that you are asked to make a meaningful donation on the day of the event to support drug prevention efforts by the Washington County Family YMCA.
