Statement about why you are the best candidate for this office: I have worked for the county for 18 years. When I first started I worked in the auditor's office. My duties included processing claims where I had to make sure the money was in the funds to process the claim. I transferred deeds, which was making sure the names were correct and legal descriptions matched what was in the transfers. I was responsible for doing fixed assets, which is an inventory of new machines or office supplies that each office may have bought or got rid of. I also worked with township trustees with their budgets. I waited on customers transferring their deeds, answering questions and filling out their tax deductions. I later went to work for the recorder's office and then was elected recorder, which I have been serving for eight years. I have good knowledge of how budgets are done and working with commissioners and council. I have always tried to have a good working relationship with the other offices and respect for those I work for and with.
